A 2-Day Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    35 minutes (15.3 km) from Coorg

    In the morning, witness the beauty of Abbey Falls and listen to the sound of the water cascading from a height of 70 feet with thick coffee bushes and spice estates in the background. In the afternoon, visit the Raja's Seat, a garden with a breathtaking view of the valley and sunset. Finally, in the evening, explore Madikeri Fort that stands in the center of the town. The fort features a small museum, a temple, and a prison.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    25 minutes (13.1 km) from Coorg

    Experience the wildlife firsthand at Dubare Elephant Camp in the morning. Take a coracle ride in the Cauvery river and watch the elephants being bathed and fed. In the afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism outside Tibet. Finally, in the evening, take a walk in the coffee plantations and explore the flavors of coffee.

You should also consider visiting Talakaveri, a sacred place where the Kaveri River originates and Iruppu Falls, a serene waterfall.
