Coaker's Walk is a pedestrian path that runs along the edge of steep slopes and offers beautiful views of the hills and valleys around. You can start your morning with a peaceful stroll, enjoy the sunrise and breathe in the fresh mountain air. In the afternoon, visit the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory located nearby. It has a collection of telescopes, one of which dates back to the 19th century. In the evening, take a stroll in Bryant Park, which is home to a variety of plants and flowers, and a glasshouse that showcases exotic plants from around the world.
Pillar Rocks are a set of three giant rock pillars standing tall at a height of 400 feet. The rocks are surrounded by lush green vegetation, and the view from the top is breathtaking. In the afternoon, head to Bear Shola Falls. It is a serene waterfall, and its name comes from the fact that bears used to drink water from it. You can have a quick dip in the water and enjoy the scenic surroundings. In the evening, go to the Kodaikanal Lake and enjoy the sunset. Take a boat ride, and if you're lucky, you might spot some rare species of birds.
If you have time, you can also visit the Guna Caves, which are said to have been discovered by a Tamil movie crew and named after the movie Guna. Another must-visit place is the Berijam Lake, which is located around 21 km from Kodaikanal, and you need permission from the forest department to visit it. You can also take a day trip to the Palani Murugan Temple, which is located around 64 km from Kodaikanal.
