Two-Day Kedarnath Adventure Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes (0.5 km) from Kedarnath Helipad

    The Kedarnath temple is one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Morning: Start your day early and trek to the Kedarnath temple. It will take around 1 hour to reach the temple. Enjoy the scenic beauty on your way. Afternoon: After visiting the temple, trek down and head towards Vasuki Tal. This lake is located at an altitude of 14,200 ft and is surrounded by Himalayas. Evening: Return back to Kedarnath town and explore local markets and shops.

  2. Day 2: Chorabari Tal (Gandhi Sarovar)
    1 hour (3.5 km) from Kedarnath town

    Morning: Start your day early and trek to Chorabari Tal. It will take around 3 hours to reach the lake. The lake is located at an altitude of 3,900 meters and offers a picturesque view of the Himalayas. Afternoon: After visiting the lake, trek down and visit the Bhairavnath Temple. The temple is located on the way to Kedarnath and is dedicated to Lord Bhairav (a manifestation of Lord Shiva). Evening: Return back to Kedarnath town and relax at your hotel.

You can also consider visiting Gauri Kund, which is a natural hot spring and is located around 15 km from Kedarnath. You can also visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, which is around 26 km from Kedarnath and is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.
