Get up close and personal with elephants at Dubare Elephant Camp. In the morning, watch the elephants bathe and feed them. Take a coracle ride in the Cauvery river and watch the birds and crocodiles. During the afternoon, visit Nisargadhama, an island formed by the River Cauvery, to see deer, rabbits, and peacocks. In the evening, visit the Golden Temple, a beautiful Buddhist monastery that houses a 60-foot statue of Buddha.
Visit the origin of the River Cauvery at Talacauvery, located on the slopes of Brahmagiri Hill. In the morning, take a dip in the holy water and offer prayers at the temple. Afterwards, trek to Brahmagiri Peak and enjoy the scenic views of the Western Ghats. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it while taking in the views. During the afternoon, visit the nearby Bhagamandala temple, where the River Cauvery and the River Kannike meet. In the evening, return to Madikeri for some souvenir shopping and a relaxing evening stroll.
