3-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Triveni Ghat
    10 minutes (2.1 km) from Rishikesh

    In the morning, visit Triveni Ghat, a sacred bathing spot for Hindus, located at the confluence of the three holy rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Witness the daily prayer ceremony or take a dip in the holy waters. In the afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, and explore the colorful graffiti art and meditation huts. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, a spiritual ritual performed by the ashram residents, accompanied by devotional songs and the lighting of lamps.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    30 minutes (8.8 km) from Rishikesh

    Start your day early and take a refreshing dip at the Neer Garh Waterfall, a hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery. After your swim, visit the Vashishta Gufa, a cave where sage Vashishta is believed to have meditated, and explore the temple complex. In the afternoon, head to the Rajaji National Park, home to various species of flora and fauna, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. Enjoy a wildlife safari or trek through the forest. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat.

  3. Day 3: Kunjapuri Devi Temple

    Start your day early and drive to Kunjapuri Devi Temple, located at the top of a hill. Witness the mesmerizing sunrise views of the Himalayan mountain ranges and the surrounding valleys. Afterward, visit the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges River, and explore the local markets for souvenirs and local delicacies. In the afternoon, head to the Trimbakeshwar Temple, a Shiva Temple located on the banks of the Ganges River, and learn about the Hindu mythologies and the importance of the temple. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat.
