Four-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over an area of 975 square kilometers and home to a variety of flora and fauna. In the evening, attend the aarti ceremony at the temple, which is a beautiful and serene experience.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal

In the evening, attend the aarti ceremony at the Kedarnath Temple.

  4. Day 4: Triyuginarayan Temple

    In the morning, drive to the Triyuginarayan Temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site known for its mythological significance. According to legend, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married at this spot, and the eternal flame burning in the temple was lit by Lord Brahma himself. Explore the temple complex and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. On the way back to Kedarnath, stop at the Guptkashi market for some souvenir shopping.

Recommendations

In addition to the above itinerary, you may also want to consider visiting the Gandhi Sarovar, a beautiful lake located at an altitude of 4,000 meters. You can also take a day trip to the nearby town of Gaurikund, where you can visit the Gauri Devi Temple and take a dip in the hot springs.
