5-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Beatles Ashram
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, explore the abandoned ashram where the Beatles once stayed in 1968. Walk through the overgrown gardens, enjoy the graffiti art and see the meditation chambers. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Neer Garh Waterfall and cool off with a refreshing swim. In the evening attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, a Hindu ritual of offering prayers to the River Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Triveni Ghat
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Beatles Ashram

    In the morning, head to Triveni Ghat, the holy confluence of three rivers. Take a dip in the river and participate in the morning prayers. In the afternoon, visit the Rajaji National Park and go on a wildlife safari to spot elephants, tigers, and leopards. In the evening, take a stroll on the Laxman Jhula Bridge and enjoy the sunset view.

  3. Day 3: Vashishta Gufa
    25 minutes (8 km) from Triveni Ghat

    In the morning, visit Vashishta Gufa, a sacred cave where the famous sage Vashishta meditated in ancient times.     In the morning, visit Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at a height of 1330 meters and surrounded by dense forests. Afternoon visit Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram which was also known as the 'Maharishi's International Academy'. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.
