2-Day "Adventure" Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: White Water Rafting in Barapole River
30 minutes (12.5 miles) from Coorg City Centre

Start your day with an adrenaline rush by going white water rafting on the Barapole River. The monsoon season in July makes for a thrilling ride as the rapids are more fierce. The activity will take up most of your morning and will leave you with an appetite. After rafting, have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants before heading to your next destination.

  2. Day 1: Quad Biking at Kabinakad Estate
50 minutes (20 miles) from Barapole River

After lunch, get behind the wheel of an ATV and explore the scenic Kabinakad Estate. You will drive through coffee plantations, forests, and streams. The afternoon sun will be on your back as you enjoy the rush of speed. Once finished, you can head back to your hotel for a quick shower before dinner.

  3. Day 1: Night Safari at Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary
1 hour 10 minutes (33 miles) from Kabinakad Estate

End your first day with a unique experience by going on a night safari at Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to many nocturnal animals that you wouldn't normally see during the day. You will be accompanied by a guide who will take you through the forest in an open jeep. Make sure to bring warm clothes as it can get chilly at night.

  4. Day 2: Trekking at Brahmagiri Peak
1 hour 30 minutes (44 miles) from Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary

Start your second day with a challenging trek to Brahmagiri Peak. The peak stands at 1608 meters and offers a stunning view of the Western Ghats. The trek takes about 4-5 hours, so make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. The trail can be slippery during the monsoon season, so wear sturdy shoes. After the trek, have a late lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading to your last destination.

  5. Day 2: Ziplining at Madikeri
