4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for South Goa and North Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: South Goa Beaches
    20 minutes (8.2 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Start the day early and head to Colva Beach to watch the sunrise. Enjoy a morning walk on the beach and then head to Benaulim Beach for some water sports. After a relaxing lunch at one of the beach shacks, visit the Cabo de Rama Fort for some spectacular views of the sea. End the day with a sunset view at Palolem Beach, while enjoying some of the delicious local seafood.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Spice Plantations
    1 hour 30 minutes (42 miles) from Palolem Beach

    Drive to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, the highest waterfall in India, and take a refreshing dip in the cool waters. After lunch, visit one of the spice plantations and take a tour to learn about the cultivation and processing of various spices. End the day with a relaxing Ayurvedic massage at one of the spas.

  3. Day 3: North Goa Churches and Museums
    1 hour 10 minutes (37 miles) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    Start the day with a visit to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest churches in Goa. After that, visit the Museum of Christian Art and the Se Cathedral, both located nearby. After lunch, visit the Museum of Goa to learn about the culture and history of Goa. End the day with a sunset view of the city from the Altinho Hill.

  4. Day 4: Fort Aguada and Beaches
    1 hour (20 miles) from Altinho Hill

    Start the day with a visit to the Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort. After that, head to the Candolim Beach for some water sports and lunch. Spend the afternoon at the Baga Beach, known for its vibrant nightlife and flea markets. End the day with a dinner at one of the beachfront shacks.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the beautiful Divar Island or visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. You can also attend a traditional Goan dance performance or take a cooking class to learn about the local cuisine.
