Begin your day with a refreshing walk along Coaker's Walk, a scenic pathway that offers panoramic views of the valley below. The 1-kilometer walk takes about 30 minutes, and you'll pass by several viewpoints along the way, including the Telescope House. In the morning, you'll enjoy the misty, tranquil atmosphere of the walk. Afterward, head to the nearby Café Cariappa for a delicious breakfast, which serves local delicacies like dosa, idli, and filter coffee. Spend the afternoon visiting the Pillar Rocks, a set of three giant granite boulders that tower over the surrounding landscape. You can also check out the nearby Guna Caves, which has a fascinating history attached to it. For the evening, head to the Bear Shola Falls, located in a forested area and a popular picnic spot for locals.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Dolphin's Nose
1 hour 20 minutes (50 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

Embark on an exciting trek to Dolphin's Nose, a flat rock protruding outwards from a cliff that resembles a dolphin's nose. The trek begins at the Vattakanal village, and you'll pass through lush forests, steep hills, and small streams. The trek takes about 2-3 hours and is suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of the valley below, and you can take a short break at the Echo Point, where you can shout out your name and hear it echo back. Once you reach Dolphin's Nose, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the Vaigai Dam in the distance. In the evening, head back to Kodaikanal town and explore the local markets, where you can buy handmade chocolates, spices, and souvenirs.
