Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can consider visiting Gaurikund, which is the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. You can also visit the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and spot some rare Himalayan animals. If you are interested in adventure activities, you can go for a rafting trip on the Mandakini River or try your hand at rock climbing and rappelling.

For day trips, you can visit Badrinath, which is another important pilgrimage site and is located 3 hours away from Kedarnath. You can also visit the Valley of Flowers, which is one of the most beautiful places in India and is located 5 hours away from Kedarnath.
