  1. Day 1: Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 10 minutes (26.5 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam in the morning. This earth dam is built across the Karamanathodu River, one of the tributaries of the Kabini River. It is surrounded by verdant hills and offers panoramic views of the surrounding areas. Head to the nearby Meenmutty Waterfalls after lunch. This three-tiered waterfall is one of the largest in the state and falls from a height of 300 meters. Spend the evening exploring the Kuruva Island, a river delta formed by the Kabini River. It is a peaceful place filled with lush greenery, freshwater streams, and beautiful landscapes.

  2. Day 2: Edakkal Caves
    1 hour (26.2 km) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    Explore the ancient Edakkal Caves in the morning. These caves are famous for their ancient rock art and are located on the Ambukuthi Hills. The hike up to the caves can be tiring, but the views on the way are worth it. After lunch, head to the Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls. It is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by beautiful forests and is a great spot for swimming and photography. In the evening, visit the Pookode Lake, a freshwater lake surrounded by forests and mountains. You can go boating or take a walk around the lake.

  3. Day 3: Thirunelli Temple

    Start your day with a visit to the ancient Thirunelli Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is a beautiful temple located amidst lush green forests and mountains. After lunch, head to the Brahmagiri Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek up to the peak can be challenging, but the views from the top are breathtaking. Spend the evening at the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. You can go on a safari or trek through the forest.

  4. Day 4: Chembra Peak
    1 hour 10 minutes (22.9 km) from Thirunelli Temple

    Start your day with a trek to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. It is a challenging trek that takes around 3-4 hours, but the views from the top are stunning. After lunch, visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum, a museum that showcases the history and culture of Wayanad. Spend the evening at the Lakkidi View Point, a great spot to view the sunset and the surrounding mountains.
