3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Trekking at Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 15 minutes (42.5 km) from Coorg

    Start the day early with a trek to Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is a perfect destination for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers. After arrival, take a hike to the peak which takes around 3-4 hours. Experience the beautiful and serene forest with stunning views of the Western Ghats. After the trek, stop by for lunch at Café Robusta to enjoy the local cuisine. In the evening, visit Talacauvery, the origin of the Cauvery river, and witness the breathtaking sunset.

  2. Day 2: River Rafting at Barapole River
    1 hour 30 minutes (50.8 km) from Coorg

    Start your day with an adrenaline-pumping experience at Barapole River with river rafting. The rafting route is 6-8 km long which takes around 2 hours. After the rafting, you can have lunch at Cauvery Nisargadhama, a serene picnic spot with lush greenery. In the evening, visit the Namdroling Monastery to experience the traditional Tibetan style architecture and witness the evening prayers.

  3. Day 3: Coffee Plantation Tour and Zipline Adventure
    30 minutes (14 km) from Coorg

    Start your day with a coffee plantation tour at the Tata Coffee Plantation in Pollibetta. Learn about the coffee making process and enjoy the beautiful scenery around. After the tour, stop by at Big cup café for a cup of coffee and breakfast. In the afternoon, experience a thrilling zipline adventure at Madikeri. Enjoy the picturesque views of Coorg while ziplining. End the day with a relaxing traditional ayurvedic massage at Ayurjeevan Ayurveda Center.

If you have an extra day, visit the Nagarhole National Park to experience the wildlife safari. You can also visit the Dubare Elephant Camp to experience the elephant bathing and feeding. Coorg also has a lot of waterfalls like the Abbey falls, Iruppu falls, and Chelavara falls, which are worth visiting. To maximize your fun, you can also go camping, kayaking, and hiking at various other locations in Coorg.
