3-Day Itinerary for Sikkim in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gangtok
    10 minutes (2.7 km) from Pakyong Airport

    In the morning, visit the beautiful Enchey Monastery built in the 1900s and admire its intricate architecture and serene surroundings.   2. Day 2: Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass
    2 hours 30 minutes (40 km) from Gangtok

    Start your day early to visit the stunning Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 3,753 meters. Take a yak ride and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. After lunch, head to Nathula Pass, located on the Indo-China border, and experience the unique blend of Indian and Tibetan culture. In the evening, return to Gangtok for a traditional local dinner.

  3. Day 3: Pelling
    4 hours 30 minutes (110 km) from Gangtok

    Explore the serene Pemayangtse Monastery in the morning and marvel at its stunning architecture and ancient relics. Afterward, visit the Kanchenjunga Falls and enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains and the waterfall. In the afternoon, head to the Rabdentse Ruins to explore the ancient capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim. In the evening, enjoy a cozy bonfire with some local music and cuisine.

Consider visiting the Rumtek Monastery, which is one of the largest and most significant monasteries in Sikkim. If you have more time, take a day trip to the stunning Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers.
