In the morning, we will visit the magnificent Edakkal Caves, a prehistoric site that houses ancient carvings and paintings. Afterward, we will have lunch at the nearby restaurant and then proceed to Chembra Peak for some breathtaking views and a short trek. In the evening, we will visit the Pookode Lake for a serene boating experience amidst the lush greenery.
Start the day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India. Take a speedboat ride in the reservoir and enjoy the scenic views. Afterward, head to the Kuruva Island, a beautiful uninhabited island that is perfect for a picnic and a dip in the river. In the evening, visit the Soochipara Waterfalls, a three-tiered waterfall that is a sight to behold.
Start the day by visiting the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu that is surrounded by lush green hills. Afterward, head to the nearby Brahmagiri Peak for a small trek and some panoramic views of the surrounding hills and forests. For lunch, we will visit the Jubilee Restaurant, which serves some of the best traditional Kerala dishes. In the evening, we will visit the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary for a jeep safari and a chance to spot some of the local wildlife.
If you have more time, you can consider visiting the Kuruvadweep, a beautiful island surrounded by a river that is perfect for a picnic. You can also take a day trip to the nearby cities of Calicut and Mysore. To maximize your fun, make sure to try some of the local delicacies such as Appam, Puttu, and Malabar Parotta.
