One Day Itinerary for Wayanad

    Hike up to the highest peak in Wayanad, the Chembra Peak. The trek starts from the foothills and takes around 3 hours to reach the summit. The view from the top is absolutely stunning, and the heart-shaped lake halfway up the mountain is a perfect spot for a picnic.

    1 hour and 15 minutes (29 km) from Chembra Peak

    Take a break from hiking and visit the serene Pookode Lake, which is surrounded by lush greenery and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. You can hire a paddleboat and explore the lake while enjoying the cool breeze.

  4. 5:00 PM: Kuruvadweep
    1 hour and 20 minutes (38 km) from Pookode Lake

    End the day with a visit to Kuruvadweep, a group of small islands located on the Kabini River. The islands are densely forested and are home to rare species of birds, butterflies, and orchids. You can take a guided tour of the islands or simply enjoy a peaceful walk in nature.

If you have time, consider visiting the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India.
