Established in 1848, the Botanical Gardens is spread over 22 hectares. It is home to various species of plants and trees, including a fossilized tree that is believed to be over 20 million years old. A perfect spot to start your day on a refreshing note.
Rising to an altitude of 2637 meters, Doddabetta Peak is the highest point in the Nilgiris. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, including the Ooty town and the neighboring regions of Coimbatore and Mysore.
Located on the Ooty-Mysore highway, Pykara Waterfalls is a popular tourist destination. The waterfall is formed by the Pykara River flowing over a series of rocky slabs, creating a stunning sight. Visitors can take a dip in the cold water and enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river.
Built-in 1824, Ooty Lake is an artificial lake spread over an area of 65 acres. You can take a boat ride or go for a walk around the lake. The lake is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and green hills, making it a picturesque spot.
