In the morning, we will head to Abbey Falls, a breathtaking waterfall nestled in the lush Western Ghats. Hike down to the falls, or take a jeep ride to the entrance. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding coffee plantations, or indulge in some whitewater rafting in the nearby rapids. In the evening, head to Raja's Seat for sweeping views of the sunset over the valley.
Spend the morning at the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, an untouched wilderness with a diverse range of flora and fauna. Take a guided trek through the sanctuary to spot tigers, elephants, and other exotic species. In the afternoon, head to Dubare Elephant Camp for a unique experience with these majestic animals. Bathe, feed and watch the elephants being trained by their mahouts. In the evening, head to Coorg Cuisine for some authentic Coorgi food.
Don't miss out on the Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement, the second largest Tibetian settlement outside of Tibet, which is just 2 hours drive away from Madikeri. You can explore the gold-plated Buddhist statues and the Namdroling Monastery. Also, visit the Nagarhole National Park or the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary for more wildlife sightings. To maximize your fun, rent a bike or scooter to explore the scenic roads of Coorg at your leisure.
