Two-Day Ooty Itinerary for July 2023

1. Day 1: Ooty Lake
   10 minutes (3.4 km) from Ooty Bus Station

   In the morning, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Ooty Lake, surrounded by the beautiful Nilgiris mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Thread Garden, which features handcrafted flowers made from thread. In the evening, explore the Government Botanical Garden, home to thousands of varieties of plants, flowers, and trees from all over the world.

2. Day 2: Doddabetta Peak
   20 minutes (8.1 km) from Ooty Lake

   Start your day by visiting Doddabetta Peak, the highest peak in the Nilgiri Mountains, for incredible panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum, where you can learn about the history of tea in the region and enjoy some delicious tea. In the evening, take a stroll through the Ooty Rose Garden, which features over 20,000 varieties of roses.

If you have time, consider visiting the Pykara Waterfall, located about 23 km from Ooty. You can also take a day trip to Coonoor, where you can explore the Sim's Park and the Dolphin's Nose viewpoint. Make sure to try some of the local cuisine, such as the famous Ooty chocolates and the delicious street food available in the city.
