5-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Ganga Aarti

In the afternoon, visit Parmarth Niketan, one of the largest ashrams in Rishikesh, for some peace and tranquility amidst its beautiful gardens and meditation hall.   3. Day 3: Beatles Ashram and Neer Garh Waterfall
    40 minutes (11 miles) from Parmarth Niketan

    Begin your day by visiting the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, where the Beatles attended a meditation course in 1968. Explore the beautiful graffiti art and abandoned structures that were once used for meditation. In the afternoon, head to Neer Garh Waterfall for a refreshing dip in the cool waters and enjoy the scenic beauty around you.

  4. Day 4: Rajaji National Park and Lakshman Jhula
    1 hour 20 minutes (26 miles) from Neer Garh Waterfall

    Start early and embark on a safari at the Rajaji National Park, home to over 400 bird species and several animals including tigers, elephants, and leopards. In the evening, visit the iconic Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges that offers a breathtaking view of the river and surrounding mountains. Take a stroll on the bridge and indulge in some street food.

  5. Day 5: Adventure Sports
    30 minutes (7 miles) from Lakshman Jhula

    Spend your last day in Rishikesh trying out some adventure sports. Indulge in activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, and zip-lining. There are several adventure sports companies that cater to all age groups and skill levels. End your trip with some souvenir shopping in the local markets.
