2-Day Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    20 minutes (8.5 km) from Coorg city center

    Start your day at the scenic Abbey Falls, surrounded by lush greenery and coffee plantations. Take a short hike to the falls and enjoy the breathtaking view. In the afternoon, visit the Raja's Seat, a garden with panoramic views of the valley, and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the evening, take a stroll around the Madikeri Fort and visit the Omkareshwara Temple, an ancient temple with a unique blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (39 km) from Coorg city center

    Head to Dubare Elephant Camp in the morning and experience elephant feeding, bathing and riding. For lunch, try some local Coorg cuisine at Taste of Coorg, a popular restaurant near the camp. Afternoon, take a trip to the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. In the evening, visit the Chiklihole Reservoir, a serene spot for boating and birdwatching.

Don't miss out on a visit to the Nagarhole National Park, one of the best wildlife reserves in South India. For adventure seekers, a trek to Tadiandamol Peak is highly recommended.
