Vattakanal, popularly known as "Little Israel" among travellers, is a serene and tranquil village nestled in the hills around Kodaikanal. You can spend the night camping under the stars, surrounded by tranquil forests and the sounds of nature. You can also indulge in bonfire sessions and have some delicious local food as Vattakanal is famous for its homemade chocolates and pastries.
If you have more time, you can add Guna Caves, Pillar Rocks, and the Silent Valley Viewpoint to your itinerary. If you have less time, you can skip Berijam Lake and camping at Vattakanal. It is advisable to carry enough water and food as these places are located away from the main town.
