2-day Nature itinerary in Ooty

  1. Day 1: Ooty Lake
    10 minutes (2km) from Ooty Bus Station

    Ooty Lake is an artificial lake surrounded by thick groves of eucalyptus trees and stretches over an area of 65 acres. It offers boat rides beautifully decorated with flowers and well-maintained parks. The view of the lake from the mountains is a perfect picture.

  2. Day 1: Pykara Waterfall

    Pykara Waterfall is a gorgeous waterfall situated in the Pykara village surrounded by lush greenery. The waterfall is located amidst beautiful valleys with a gushing sound of the river water. Boating in the Pykara reservoir and shopping for souvenirs in Pykara village, adds a sense of joy to the place.

  3. Day 2: Doddabetta Peak
    22 minutes (12 km) from Pykara Waterfall

    Doddabetta peak is a mountain peak situated in the Nilgiri district of Ooty with an altitude of 2637 meters above sea level. The view from the peak is tremendously breathtaking with a panoramic view of the valley below. A telescope house located at the peak allows you to have a closer look at the surrounding landscapes.

  4. Day 2: Mudumalai National Park
    45 minutes (34 km) from Doddabetta Peak

    Mudumalai National Park is a well-protected wildlife reserve located in Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu. It houses several species of animals including Asian elephant, Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, and many more. Go on a safari ride to spot animals walking in the wilderness, making the experience memorable.
