Visit Mirik Lake, a man-made reservoir surrounded by lush green valleys and take a paddleboat ride. On the way back, stop at the Peace Pagoda - a symbol of peace within nature, to enjoy a panoramic view of the hills and get a glimpse of Japanese architecture. The place has a serene charm and is usually less crowded making it a perfect spot for some relaxation.
If you have more time, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan refugee self-help center and Happy Valley Tea Estate.
