7-Day Kedarnath Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrival and Rudra Himalaya Mandir
    Approx. 19 km (1 hour 20 minutes) from Kedarnath

    Visit the Rudra Himalaya Mandir to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and kick start your spiritual journey.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath Temple and Bhairav Nath Temple
    Kedarnath Temple: Open from 5 am to 3 pm; Bhairav Nath Temple: Open from 6 am to 7 pm

    Explore the Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and the Bhairav Nath Temple, known for its tantric rituals and religious significance.

  3. Day 3: Vasuki Tal and Gandhi Sarovar
    Approx. 10 km (1 hour) from Kedarnath

    Take a trek to the shimmering Vasuki Tal, an alpine lake and visit the Gandhi Sarovar, named after the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

  4. Day 4: Guptkashi and Triyuginarayan Temple
    Guptkashi: Open all day; Triyuginarayan Temple: Open from 6 am to 7 pm

    Embark on a journey to Guptkashi, a serene town with religious significance. Visit the ancient Triyuginarayan Temple and witness the eternal flame that burns in the temple.

  5. Day 5: Sonprayag and Gaurikund
    Sonprayag: Open all day; Gaurikund: Open from 5 am to 9 pm

    Visit Sonprayag, located at the confluence of river Basuki and Mandakini. Head to Gaurikund, the place where Goddess Parvati performed penance to win Lord Shiva's heart.

  6. Day 6: Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and Gaurikund Temple
    Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary: Open from 9 am to 5 pm; Gaurikund Temple: Open from 5 am to 9 pm

    Explore the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and witness the diversity of flora and fauna. Visit the Gaurikund Temple, which is surrounded by hot springs.

Useful Tips
