The beach is surrounded by hills on three of its sides and the view from the top is breathtaking. There are also many cafes around where travellers can enjoy delicious food by the beach.
The Yana Caves are unique, with massive limestone formations and breathtaking views all around. The best way to experience the caves is by trekking up the hills to reach the caves. The long and winding path leading to the caves is surrounded by a dense forest, offering an exciting opportunity for birdwatching and nature lovers. Once at the top, there is a temple located inside a cavern. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is visited by many for its religious significance to the locals.
If you have more time to spare, visit Om Beach, Mahabaleshwar Temple, and Mirjan Fort. For a day trip, go to the Murudeshwar Temple, which is approximately 4 hours away from Gokarna. If time is limited, skip Yana Caves and explore more of the beaches like Half Moon Beach, Paradise Beach, and Om Beach.
