Start your trip in the capital of Goa, Panaji. Begin by visiting the stunning Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Next, head over to the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception with its distinctive white façade. Spend the rest of the day browsing the quaint shops, art galleries and cafes of the Fontainhas neighbourhood, famed for its colourful Portuguese houses.
South Goa is renowned for its stunning beaches, and today you will experience some of the best. Start your morning by heading to Agonda Beach for a tranquil swim, followed by a stroll on the soft sandy shores of Palolem Beach. For lunch, try some fresh seafood at Holant Beach Shack on the beach. End your day by visiting the Cabo de Rama Fort which has a splendid view of the Arabian sea.
Grab a quick breakfast and then head to the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary which is home to Goa's rich flora and fauna. Take a jeep ride through the lush green forests, or trek to the Dudhsagar waterfalls for a dip in the cool waters. For lunch, head to Mango Tree Restaurant for authentic Goan cuisine. Later in the day, visit the Shri Manguesh Temple which is revered by the locals for its intricate architecture.
Spend your last day experiencing some of the adventurous water sports like Scuba Diving, Parasailing, Jet Skiing, Banana Boat Rides or Kite Surfing at Baina Beach, Hansa Beach or Bogmalo Beach in Vasco da Gama. End your trip by savouring some delicious Goan snacks at Navtara Veg Restaurant.
If you have more time, add a day to explore the stunning Dudhsagar waterfalls. If you have less time, skip the wildlife safari and head to the beaches of South Goa. Keep necessary items like water bottles, comfortable shoes, and sunscreen handy. Be aware of pickpockets in crowded areas. Try the local seafood and vegetarian dishes which are a must-try in South Goa. Avoid visiting during the monsoon season as beaches and waterfalls are closed due to heavy rains.
