To get around Scotland, consider renting a car. The roads can be narrow and winding, but offer stunning views of the country. Alternately, travel by train or bus between cities, and take a ferry to get to the Isle of Skye. Be aware that some rural areas may not have public transportation options available.
If you have more time, consider adding a day trip to the Isle of Mull or taking a train ride on the Jacobite Steam Train. If you have less time, consider cutting out the Glenfiddich Distillery visit and spending more time exploring the Isle of Skye.
