Head to the Old City Bazaar and stroll through the vibrant shops and stalls, sampling local delicacies and bargaining with vendors. After lunch, take a cable car up to the Narikala Fortress for panoramic views of the city. Visit the sulfur baths and then walk to the famous Sioni Cathedral showcasing stunning frescoes, located nearby.
Begin with the magnificent Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre, one of the most significant cultural venues in Georgia. Afterwards, walk to the Georgian National Museum housing an extensive collection of archeological artifacts and historic documents. In the afternoon, stop at the Georgian National Gallery, which presents a historical overview of Georgian fine arts from the Middle Ages to contemporary times.
This day is focused on modern Tbilisi. Head up to the stunning Bridge of Peace, a glass and steel pedestrian bridge crossing the Kura River, connecting the Old Town with the new part of the city. A short walk from the bridge, you'll reach Rike Park, one of the most popular parks in Tbilisi. The day can end with an optional visit to the futuristic Tbilisi Public Service Hall, a building that combines government spaces, cafes, and conference halls all in one location.
If you have more time, add a visit to the Tbilisi sulphur baths and spend the evening at Shardeni Street, lined with historic buildings, cafes, and restaurants. If you have less time, skip the Georgian National Gallery or shorten the time spent at the Old City Bazaar.
