Head to Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia. Enjoy the scenic views, take a coracle ride on the lake, and trek to Banasura Hill for panoramic views. There is also a children’s park and a nature walk to explore.
Visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, and leopards. Enjoy a jeep safari to spot wildlife and take a guided trek to the Chembra Peak. There is also a tribal village visit to learn about the local culture and an eco-friendly treehouse stay available.
Explore the Edakkal Caves, a prehistoric site with ancient carvings and paintings. Then head to the Soochipara Waterfalls for a refreshing dip or zip-lining. There is also a spice plantation tour and a bamboo rafting experience available.
If you have more time, add a visit to the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary for another wildlife experience. Alternatively, take a serene bamboo rafting trip down the Kabini River or visit the ancient Thirunelli Temple. If you have less time, skip either the Edakkal Caves or Soochipara Waterfalls.
