Kudle Beach, with its pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, is the perfect place to start your trip to Gokarna. The beach is surrounded by lush hills, and you'll find plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. Take a swim, try your hand at surfing, or simply relax with a book under the shade of a palm tree.
Start the day with a visit to the Gokarna Temple, one of the holiest places in southern India. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is known for its intricate carvings and ancient architecture. Afterward, head to Om Beach, named for its unique shape that resembles the Hindu symbol 'Om.' Take a dip in the ocean, rent a boat, or try some of the local seafood at one of the many beachside restaurants.
Spend your last day exploring the two secluded beaches of Paradise and Half Moon. Accessible only by foot or boat, these beaches offer a peaceful escape from the crowds. Take a hike through the hills to reach Half Moon, where you'll find natural rock formations and clear blue waters. Paradise Beach, as the name suggests, boasts tranquil surroundings and azure waters.
If you have extra time, consider renting a scooter to explore more of Gokarna and its surrounding areas. For a longer trip, add a trek to Yana Caves, a stunning rock formation around 45 km from Gokarna. If you have less time, consider skipping Half Moon Beach and spending more time at Kudle or Om Beach. Remember to pack sunscreen and plenty of water, as the sun can be intense in this region.
