Start your journey at the beautiful capital of Sikkim, Gangtok. You can visit the Rumtek Monastery which is one of the largest monasteries in Sikkim. You can also take a stroll in the M.G Marg Market known for its local handicrafts and delicious food. End the day at Nathula Pass which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges and a glimpse of Indo-China border.
Leave for Lachung, a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim. You can stop at the Seven Sisters Waterfall on the way. Here you can enjoy the pristine nature, wildlife and snow-peaked Himalayan landscape. Visit Yumthang Valley which is also known as the valley of flowers, famous for its meadows of native flowers such as primulas and rhododendrons. End the day at the famous hot springs at Yumesamdong.
On the third day, head towards Pelling which is located at the foothills of Mount Kanchenjunga. Here, you can visit the famous Pemayangtse Monastery which dates back to the 17th century. You can also visit the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred lake to both Buddhists and Hindus which is believed to be a wish-fulfilling lake surrounded by forests. End the day at Singshore Bridge, which is the second-highest suspension bridge in Asia offering spectacular views of the valley.
Start your day with a visit to the Samdruptse Hill, where you can see the world's tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. Next, you can visit the Ngadak Monastery, famous for its intricate wood carvings and traditional Buddhist architecture. End your journey at the Char Dham, a pilgrimage site that houses replicas of the revered four holy sites of Hinduism.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to Tsomgo Lake on Day 1 or you can visit Yakten Village on Day 2. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can skip the hot springs at Yumesamdong on Day 2. Make sure to bring warm clothing as it can get chilly in the mountains. Book your accommodation in advance as it can get crowded during peak season. Lastly, respect the local culture and customs.
