It documents the history of the Berlin Wall and showcases some of the ingenious escape attempts that took place over the years. The museum is open from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM daily.
Next, head over to Berliner Dom, located on Museum Island. It is Berlin's largest and most magnificent church constructed between 1895 and 1905. Take a 270-step climb all the way up to the top of the dome, which provides spectacular views of the city. Plan to spend around 45 minutes exploring.
Conclude the tour by walking through Friedrichstraße, a charming avenue in the central Mitte district. This is the prime shopping street of Berlin offering high-end boutiques and galleries, along with bargain stores and excellent food stops.
