On the second day, head toward Ooty Lake. This manmade lake is situated amidst a picturesque landscape and offers boating for visitors. Renting a paddle or a rowing boat is a fun way to explore the lake, and you can take in the scenic surroundings while you’re at it. The nearby Deer park is another attraction that visitors should not miss as it is a great place to relax. Additionally, there is a toy train that takes you around the lake, which is an excellent option for anyone looking for something unique.
The Doddabetta Peak is the highest point in Ooty and provides a panoramic view of the entire city. With its mist-covered hills, the summit is shrouded in mystery, and you can take in the beautiful scenery while enjoying the fresh air. The park at Doddabetta is also a good place to hike. After enjoying the view, head towards Pykara Waterfall - a beautiful natural wonder that offers a serene experience to visitors. The waterfall is surrounded by lush and vibrant greenery, making it perfect for nature lovers.
If you have more time, you could consider visiting the Government Museum, which would be an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Ooty. Alternatively, the Rose Garden is an excellent option for nature lovers. If you have less time, you can combine your Day 2 and 3 itinerary, making it easier to cover two attractions in a single day. Additionally, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry sunscreen as the weather can vary from cool to sunny.
