The La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a privately owned and operated eco-tourism venture located in a forested mountain region. The gardens feature several waterfalls, an aviary, butterfly observatory, and animal exhibits.
Arenal Volcano National Park is located in the northern part of Costa Rica and features a massive, active volcano with hot springs, rainforest, and waterfall hikes. Visitors can enjoy a number of activities, including zip-lining, horseback riding, and kayak tours.
Manuel Antonio National Park is a small coastal park located on the Pacific coast. It features white sand beaches, hiking trails, and abundant wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, and birds. Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and surfing at the park.
If you have more time, consider adding Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve or Tortuguero National Park to your itinerary. If you have less time, consider skipping Arenal Volcano National Park or Manuel Antonio National Park. However, both parks offer unique experiences that would be a shame to miss out on.
