Start your day with a peaceful stroll along Coaker's Walk. This picturesque pedestrian path surrounded by pine and eucalyptus trees offers panoramic mountain views and a refreshing change of pace from the bustling city. Take in the breathtaking scenery and capture some memories with your camera. Don't forget to visit Green Valley View, also known as Suicide Point, on the way down. This cliff overlooks the plains and provides a perfect spot to click some more beautiful photographs.
Next up is Bryant Park, a beautifully landscaped garden featuring an exquisite collection of flowers and trees. Take a leisurely stroll around the park and enjoy the colourful blooms and serenity. If you're lucky enough, you may catch the park's annual horticultural show that happens in May, and it is a sight to behold!
End your day with a visit to the Kodai Lake, a man-made lake that is perfect for a relaxing boat ride. Rent a pedal or rowing boat and enjoy the tranquil surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. At night, you can also enjoy the cool breeze coming off the lake, perfect for a romantic walk or a picnic with your family.
On your second day, head to the Bear Shola Falls, surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest. The falls are named after the bears that used to take a dip here, and with its glistening water cascading down the rocks, you'll soon understand why. Don't forget to carry extras clothes as there are many spots for you to dip and play in the waters.
Make your way to the Pillar Rocks Viewpoint for breathtaking views of the towering pillar-shaped rocks. The view is simply stunning, especially if you catch it when the sky is clear. There are street vendors selling snacks beside the viewpoint, so you can sit alongside the majestic rocks and the beautiful scenery and enjoy the snacks.
If you have additional time, we recommend visiting the following places for an extended period of relaxation: Coakers Walk, Silver Cascade Falls, Bryant Park, and Silent Valley Viewpoint. If time is short, you may omit Bryant Park. Please note that the outdoor activities may be affected during the rainy season (June - September) in Kodaikanal.
