The Louvre Museum opens at 9:00 am; we recommend you start your one-day itinerary early. The museum is home to over 35,000 works of art, including the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. The museum is spread over three wings, so it's worth planning which exhibits you want to see to avoid getting lost.
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most iconic monuments in the world. Standing at 324 meters, the tower provides breathtaking 360-degree views of Paris. We suggest you take the stairs and stop at each of the three levels for the best views. Alternatively, you can take the lift to the top.
The Matterhorn is one of the most famous peaks in the Swiss Alps. You can take a train from Paris to Zermatt, where you can take a cable car to the peak or hike through the mountains to get the best views. We recommend having a picnic on the mountain.
If you have more time, we recommend spending another day in Paris to see other attractions like the Notre-Dame Cathedral, The Palace of Versailles, Montmartre, and Les Invalides.
If you have more time in Switzerland, you might want to visit other cities like Interlaken, Bern, or Zurich.
If you have less time, you might want to skip the cable car ride to the peak of the Matterhorn and spend more time exploring Paris or visit Geneva instead of going to Zermatt.
