Most attractions can be reached by car, but parking can be expensive in certain areas. Consider using a ride-sharing service or public transportation if possible. The Metro Bus has routes that connect to Calabasas and other parts of Los Angeles, and the Metro Rail provides easy access to downtown LA. Expect to pay around $1.75 per trip on metro buses and trains.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the famous theme parks in Anaheim, such as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, or Universal Studios Hollywood. Alternatively, spend an afternoon shopping at the luxury stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. If you have less time, skip Old Town Calabasas and spend more time in Los Angeles or the beach areas.
Calabasas is located about 30 miles from both Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). LAX is one of the busiest airports in the world and has flights to and from major cities around the globe. BUR serves mainly domestic flights and is closer to Calabasas, but has fewer flight options. Expect to spend around 30-45 minutes driving from either airport to Calabasas depending on traffic.
