One Day in Kansas: A Tour of Iconic Places

1. 9:00AM: Kansas State Capitol
   Located in Topeka, which is a little over an hour drive from Kansas City, Missouri. This beautiful building houses the offices of the governor and other officials. Take a Statehouse tour and view the murals and bronze sculptures depicting Kansas history.

2. 11:30AM: Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum
   Located in Abilene, which is about 45 minutes from Topeka. The museum houses documents, artifacts, and personal affects of the 34th U.S President, Dwight D. Eisenhower. The museum is full of information about his personal and public life. It also contains a research center and administrative offices.

3. 2:00PM: Monument Rocks National Natural Landmark
   Located in Oakley, which is a two-hour drive from Abilene. A scenic location composed entirely of rock formations, aptly named Monument Rocks. This site is renowned for its geological significance and serves as a habitat for numerous kinds of wildlife. Enjoy the scenic environment it offers, and take some great photographs.

4. 5:30PM: Kansas State Fairgrounds
   Located in Hutchinson, which is about a four-hour drive from Oakley. The fairgrounds offer a variety of fun activities such as the Kansas State Fair, a petting zoo, and several other events throughout the year. End your day by unwinding and indulging in classic carnival-style food, rides, and entertainment.
