A Relaxing Day in Delhi

  1. 9:00AM: Lotus Temple
    Located in the southern part of Delhi, this Bahai worship place is designed in the shape of a lotus and surrounded by pools and gardens. The temple is open from 9:00AM to 5:30PM, except on Mondays. After a peaceful visit, take a 10-minute taxi ride to your next destination.

  2. 11:00AM: Lodhi Art District
    Take a stroll through one of the most extensive public art districts in India. You'll find walls painted with colourful murals and artistic graffiti. The district is an open-air public art plaza that spans over seven city blocks. You can appreciate the art in its natural means and stop to take photographs or just relax on the benches provided around the area. It is a 20-minute drive from Lotus Temple.

  3. 1:30PM: Lunch at Rose Café
    A perfect spot for lunch with an extensive range of fresh, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, salads and desserts. The cafe is decorated with Victorian decor and adorned with antique furnishing and colourful flowers. It is a 20-minute drive from Lodhi Art District.

  4. 3:30PM: Lodhi Garden
    A perfect place for nature lovers to unwind. The garden has numerous fountains, a bamboo garden, and an old Banyan Tree, whose roots spread block entire parts of the gardens. This 90-acre complex is also an excellent opportunity for bird watching with over fifty species. It is located less than 10 minutes from the Rose Café.

  5. 5:30PM: India Gate
    Completed in 1931, The India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Within its walls lay the names of 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War I. It is a 10-minute drive from Lodhi Garden. You can take time to walk around the monument, take photos, and gaze at the illuminated sight of the monument during the sunset.
