  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    30 minutes (16.8 km) from Coorg

    Dubare Elephant Camp, situated on the banks of River Cauvery, is an elephant training and bathing camp that offers elephant rides and an opportunity to feed them. One can watch elephants being bathed and scrubbed by their mahouts. In addition to elephants, the camp houses a variety of flora and fauna, including many bird species.

  2. Day 2: Brahmagiri Peak Trek
    1 hour 10 minutes (50.6 km) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    Brahmagiri Peak is a challenging trekking trail that offers beautiful views of the Western Ghats and the surrounding valleys. The trail passes through dense jungles, grasslands, and waterfalls. It takes about six hours to reach the peak and make the descent. The best time to visit this peak is from November to February when the weather is pleasant and cool. Strong hiking shoes, comfortable clothing, a hat, and a rain jacket are advised.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, visit the Nagarhole National Park, a paradise for trekking enthusiasts. Take a wildlife safari through the lush jungle and spot the various wildlife species, such as tigers, elephants, leopards, and sambars. If you have extra time, visit the Iruppu Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by the lush green Western Ghats.

If you have less time, choose between either Dubare Elephant Camp or Brahmagiri Peak Trek. Dubare Elephant Camp can be visited in half a day, while a shorter trek to Nishani Motte or Tadiyandamol Peak can be done in less than half the time.
