Two-Day Itinerary for Yercaud

  1. Day 1: Shevaroy Hills
    2.4 km (15 minutes) from Yercaud town center

    Take a morning hike through the Shevaroy hills to bask in the picturesque beauty of the Yercaud forest. The pleasant weather adds to the joy of the trek. In the forest, one can spot a few wild animals, making the hike more adventurous. The highest peak is Servarayan Hill, offering a panoramic view of the town enveloped in mist. The loop roads around the hills are a treat for cycling enthusiasts. Don't forget to enjoy a hot cup of tea from the small kiosks serving tea along the trail.

  2. Day 1: Pagoda Point/Sunday Market
    1.9 km (10 minutes) from Shevaroy Hills

    Get a glimpse of Chinese culture with the Pagoda Point, with a four-pillared platform resembling a pagoda. The view from the hill shows the Cauvery river winding between the lush green gardens and the distant Nagalur and Yercaud towns beyond. Visitors can relish some delicious local snacks sold by the dozen vendors of the Sunday Market nearby.

  3. Day 1: Kiliyur Falls
    6.5 km (20 minutes) from Pagoda Point

    The thunderous sound of water greets you as you gaze at the Kiliyur Falls, standing 300 ft tall. The falls are surrounded by a picturesque view of the forest, which makes it a popular spot for taking photographs. Visitors can take a dip in the pool beneath the falls while immersing themselves in the cold water. The falls can be reached via an easy hiking trail through the lush green forest.

  4. Day 2: Anna Park
    2 km (10 minutes) from Yercaud town center

    Visit the Anna Park, a beautifully maintained park with well-developed lawns, colorful flower beds, and a wide range of plants. The park is a perfect place to relax amidst the lush greenery, with a mini-fountain and boating options in the pond. The famous white-flowered kurinji flower, which blooms once every twelve years, can also be sighted here.

  5. Day 2: Lady's Seat
    1 km (5 minutes) from Anna Park

    View Yercaud from the Lady's Seat, a rock made into a seat, in memory of a lady who died in a suicide attempt. The seat has a spectacular view of the town and the wooded valley below. At night, the town transforms into a magical spectacle of lights, giving a breathtaking vision of the city's peacefulness. A visit to the Pagoda Point is suggested for a complete scenic experience.

The Deer Park can be an interesting site for a casual visit with friends or family. With less amount of time, one can skip Pagoda Point as the view can be enjoyed from Lady's Seat.
