The Doddabetta Peak is the highest mountain peak (2637 meters) in the Nilgiri range and is an ideal spot for spending quality time with your family. It offers a beautiful panoramic view of the valley and surroundings. At the peak, there is a telescope house which will give you a closer look at the Ooty valley. Spend about an hour here and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The Rose Garden is a beautiful attraction which has a wide variety of roses and other flowers. It is spread over an area of 10 acres and houses more than 3000 varieties of roses. The garden is considered to be one of the most beautiful in India. Spend about an hour here to enjoy the beauty of these large variety of flowers and take some beautiful photos for your memories.
If you have additional time in Ooty, you can visit the Stone House (a historical building - 3 km from Botanical Gardens), Wax World Museum (1km from Ooty Lake), The Tea Factory (4 km away from Ooty City Centre), and Needle Rock View Point (40 km away from Ooty). If you have less time, then you can skip Thread Garden and Rose Garden. You can also bring snacks and water to enjoy your time at the attractions, and don't forget to wear comfortable shoes as there will be walking involved.
