Puducherry in Two Days

  1. Day 1: Auroville
    30 minutes (8.5 km) from Puducherry city center

    Auroville is an experimental township located near Puducherry, founded with the purpose of realizing human unity. Auroville has more than 2,000 residents from over 50 countries and is home to a variety of experiments in sustainable living and alternative economies. Visitors can tour the site and visit the Matri Mandir, a temple of the Mother, which represents the Divine's manifestation in the world. The Matrimandir Gardens are also worth a visit, offering a peaceful refuge and beautiful views.

  2. Day 2: Scenic Walk and War Memorial
    20 minutes (5 km) from Auroville

    Start your day with a stroll along the Promenade Beach, one of Puducherry's most famous landmarks. The rocky beachfront provides a picturesque panoramic view. Then, head over to the French War Memorial to pay homage to the French soldiers who died during the First World War. The memorial features engraved names of the soldiers, and the gardens are beautifully maintained.
