Head to Abbey falls and experience the breathtaking views of cascading water. Trek downhill for about 500 meters to reach the waterfalls. Next visit, Raja's Seat, a view-spot offering a panoramic view of Coorg's valleys and mountains. You can also enjoy the Toy train ride, musical fountain and watch the beautiful sunset.
On Day 2, visit the famous Omkareshwar Temple which represents a beautiful mix of Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. Next up, go on a tour of the coffee plantations in Coorg and experience the coffee-making process. Visit Golden Temple, a Tibetan Monastery, on your way back and learn more about Buddhism philosophy.
Begin your day with a visit to the Dubare Elephant Camp. Get up close with the gentle pachyderm by feeding them, going on rides and giving them a bath. Next, head to Nisargadhama, an island formed by the iconic Cauvery river, and stroll through the bamboo groves to enjoy the scenic beauty. Don't miss the nearby hanging bridge and boating in calm waters.
On your last day, make your way to Tadiandamol Peak, the highest peak in Coorg where you can trek and experience nature's hues. After the trek, visit the Chelavara Falls, a virgin beauty, falling from a height of 150 feet, cascading down boulders.
If you have more time, you can explore Coorg's Dubare Reserve Forest, visit the Chiklihole Dam, explore the Madikeri Fort or the Iruppu Falls. If you have a shorter trip, you can skip the coffee plantation tour and devote more time to trekking and waterfalls. Try out the authentic Coorgi cuisine such as Pandi Curry and Kadambuttu, made of rice flour. Do carry comfortable walking shoes, warm jackets and sunscreen.
