If you have an extra day, consider a day trip to the nearby Gingee Fort or the Sri Aurobindo Handmade Paper Factory. If you have less time, you can skip some of the beach visits or temple visits. Avoid visiting during monsoon season (October - December), as many outdoor activities will be unavailable. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing for the heritage walks and bring sunscreen and a hat for the beach visits.
