Visit the Hadimba Temple, a beautiful pagoda-style temple dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, wife of Bhima from Mahabharata. The carved wooden interiors and serene atmosphere are worth admiring. Spend some time in the lush surrounding cedar woods, which make for perfect scenic backgrounds for pictures.
Followed by the temple visit, walk down to the Manali Nature Park for some peaceful and serene time. Situated right across the Beas River, the park is full of towering deodars and apple orchids. Grab a picnic basket and relax under the shades of trees, facing the snow-clad mountains. You can also spot various species of birds here. Avoid monsoon and heavy winter seasons as it can be closed due to heavy rainfall and snow respectively.
Hit the road early morning to drive out to the Solang Valley, which is approximately 45 minutes from Manali. The valley offers mesmerizing views of the valley and beautiful hills surrounding it, especially the Rohtang Pass. You can enjoy various adventure sports such as paragliding, skiing, and zorbing here.
After a long day of adventure, hit the Vashisht Baths to soak in natural hot springs renowned for their healing powers. The hot water springs are over 4000 years old and inspired by the Sage named Vashisht, who reportedly used it for penance. Apart from bathing, you can also visit the ancient Vashisht Temple devoted to Lord Rama.
If you have more time, add a visit to the Tibetan Monastery, Jogini Falls, and a day trip to Rohtang Pass. For a less busy schedule, skip Solang Valley and replace it with chill in Old Manali for local culture and cuisines.
