Ooty Botanical Gardens is spread over 55 acres and has more than 650 species of flowers and trees. Children will enjoy the bonsai garden and the artificial waterfalls. Don't miss the Toda Hill that offers a beautiful view of the gardens. The park is a perfect place for a family picnic and offers a peaceful environment for a leisurely stroll.
Doddabetta Peak is the highest peak in the Nilgiris, standing at a height of 2,623 meters. The drive to the peak is scenic and there are a lot of viewpoints along the way. Children will enjoy the telescope house at the top that offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding valleys. There are also a few shops selling handmade chocolates and souvenirs.
If you have more time, visit Ooty Lake for boating or head to the Thread Garden to witness the craftsmanship of artificial flowers. If you have less time, skip Doddabetta Peak and explore the Rose Garden instead.
