The Ooty lake situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters is a vast expanse of serene blue water with a lovely park surrounding it. The lake is dotted with beautiful boats, which can be rented for a ride. Several shops are available nearby for snacks and souvenirs. You can also enjoy some Fishing here.
This viewpoint stands at an altitude of 2,267 meters and offers a breathtaking view of the valley. The sharp peak of the rock looks like a needle hence the name. A telescope is available for an even closer look at the valley below.
The highest peak in the Nilgiris mountains, Doddabetta offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. With an altitude of 2,623 meters, the peak is surrounded by lush greenery and flanked by beautiful tea gardens.
Surrounded by dense forests and a majestic mountain range, Pykara Lake is a photographer's paradise. Boating is available on the lake, and there’s a waterfall nearby that is a great spot for a refreshing dip. You may also spot some wildlife here.
If you have more time to spend in Ooty, consider visiting the Rose Garden, Sim's Park, or the Wax World Museum. If time is limited, you may consider skipping Needle Rock View Point or Pykara Lake and Falls.
