Two-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh

  1. Day 1: Triveni Ghat
    10 minutes (3 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    Triveni Ghat is a bathing ghat located on the banks of the holy river Ganges and is of great religious importance to Hindus. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the evening aarti, where lamps are floated on the Ganges. For a more peaceful visit, come in the early morning to take a dip in the holy waters and witness the sunrise.

  2. Day 1: Beatles Ashram
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Triveni Ghat

    The Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, is an abandoned ashram which was made famous after The Beatles spent time there in the late 1960s. Walk around the now-covered graffiti and explore the abandoned meditation cells. You can also rent a guide for a walking tour.

  3. Day 2: Ram Jhula
    15 minutes (4 km) from Beatles Ashram

    Ram Jhula is a suspension bridge across the river Ganges, and is an iconic landmark of Rishikesh. Walk across the bridge, take in the views of the river and the surrounding mountains, and visit the various shops and markets located on either side. You can also visit the various ashrams and temples located nearby.

  4. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    45 minutes (16 km) from Ram Jhula

    Neer Garh Waterfall is a popular spot for trekking and photography. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and is a great place for a picnic and to cool off. There is a short trek of around 1.5 km to reach the waterfall, and the path can be slippery and uneven at times.
